Renderoc Plug is supplied as a ready to use blend of drypowders which requires only the site addition of clean waterto produce a highly consistent, rapid setting mortar which iseasy to apply in many difficult conditions. The material isbased on a blend of cements, graded aggregates, specialfillers and chemical additives which control the rate of setand minimise the risk of thermal cracking.Renderoc Plug provides an initial set time of approximatelyone minute.

Uses:

For the rapid temporary patching and plugging of concrete segments, concrete and brick tunnel linings, sewagesystems, below ground access chambers, pipes, basements, foundations and mines.

Application:

Trowel apply or hand-knead the mixed mortar in place, ensuring maximum contact with the substrate before the material sets. If being used to plug running water, Renderoc Plug should be used and held in place until the initial set is reached. Note the minimum applied thickness of Renderoc Plug should be 15 mm.

Particular care should be taken to ensureall surfaces are completely free of laitance, oil, dust, grease,plaster, paint, corrosion and any other deleterious substances.Laitance should be mechanically removed by high pressurewater blasting, grit blasting or a combination of both. Oil andgrease deposits, should be removed by steam cleaning ordetergent scrubbing, or with use of a proprietary degreaser.Smooth surface should be mechanically roughened by scrabblingor needle gun to form a good key. All reinforcing steelmust be grit blasted to a profi le of SA21/2 prior to the applicationof Nitozinc Primer.Edges of the areas for repair must be saw cut to 12mm to avoidfeather edging. Finally the complete area should be blown cleanwith oil free compressed air.Patchroc may be used from a minimum of 12mm to a maximumof 50mm thick. If the depth of the pot hole is greater than 50mm,individual layers should be scratch keyed and allowed to set fora minimum of 2 hours before priming and placing the next layer.PrimingAll surfaces must be primed prior to repair. Before priming, thesubstrate should be thoroughly soaked with clean water and anyexcess shall be removed from the surface preferably by oil freecompressed air. Concrete must be primed with Nitobond AR.Nitobond AR should be scrubbed into the surface of the concrete.Patchroc should be applied to the primed surface assoon as possible after mixing, ideally with the primer havingbeen allowed to become tacky.MixingPatchroc must be mixed in a forced action mixer or alternativelywith a slow speed drill ( 500 rpm) fi tted with a spiral paddle.The mixing ratio of Patchroc is 25 kg of powder to 2.75 litresof water.
