Product DescriptionConplast Crystalline is an integral waterproofi ng admixture to produce water tight concrete. The active chemical in Conplast Crystalline react with moisture available in concrete to produce non soluble crystalline formation throughout the pores of capillary tracks thus making concrete permanently sealed against water penetration from any direction.

Conplast Crystalline has been tested in accordance with various standards such as IS 516 Part-2 Sec-1, IS 3085-1965 (Reaffi rmed 2021), ASTM C 1260, ASTM C 1202-12, AASHTO T 277, ASTM C 1556-04, 1152/C, 1152M-04, DIN 1048, BSEN 12390 – part 8.

Conplast Crystalline is a powder form with perfect blend of Portland cement with other ingredients. Crystalline chemicals react with water in concrete to form crystals structure in the tiny capillaries. These insoluble crystals structure that clogs the pores. This process continues until all the chemicals have reacted.

Conplast Crystalline is compatible with our water reducing admixture when used in the same concrete mix, but should be added to the mix separately. The resultant properties of mixes containing more than one admixture should be assessed by the trial mix procedure recommended on this data sheet. Conplast Crystalline is suitable for use with all types of Portland cements, SRC cements and cement replacement materials such as PFA, GGBFS and microsilica.

Main uses

Conplast SP430 G8 has been specially formulated to give high water reductions upto 25% without loss of workability or to produce high quality concrete of reduced permeability.

To accelerate the setting and early strength gain of Portland cement concrete and mortar mixes without the introduction of chloride. Acts as a plasticiser, so gives signifi cant increases in both ultimate and early strengths. Typical applications include precast concrete, concrete placed in cold weather, concrete for repairs, mortars for brickwork.

Advantages:

• Chloride free, safe in prestressed and reinforced concrete
• Produces exceptionally high early strengths
• Plasticising action gives increased workability and / or increased strengths
• Early setting improves frost resistance
• Suitable for bricklaying mortar mixes
• Particularly effective in concrete at low temperatures

 

Application instructions:

• Dosage: The recommended dosage range for standard concrete and mortar mixes with all grades of Portland cement is 2.0 to 3.0 litres per 100 kg cement (see table).
• Over dosage: An overdose of double the recommended amount of Conplast NC will result in a slight increase in initial acceleration, but will not materially alter the ultimate strength or characteristics of the cured concrete or mortar.
• Mixing: Conplast NC should be stirred before use.
